Meet your chiropractic physician in Boise Idaho
Michael Daglen, D.C.
I started my journey to becoming a chiropractor after injuring my lower back during a judo competition while attending college at Boise State University. This debilitating and frightening injury changed me in many ways including my career goals. I was bedridden for many days and certain that my life had taken a horrible turn for the worse. I struggled for many weeks and finally made an appointment to see a chiropractor. After my first chiropractic adjustment to the lower back, I started to improve and my faith in the future was restored. This experience made such an impression that I decided to become a chiropractor and work to help people in this way.
I graduated with a doctor of chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. I also hold a bachelor of science in health science studies with a minor in psychology from Boise State University, as well as a certificate of completion from the American Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine in Austin, Texas. I am a nationally board certified chiropractor and am licensed in the state of Idaho as a chiropractic physician.
In order to be of greatest value to others, I have endeavored to improve myself as a clinician and a person. I regularly participate in the Motion Palpation Institute continuating education courses and am a certified provider. I am a certified Graston Technique practitioner and have developed my own tools for instrument assisted, soft tissue manipulation. I have advanced certification in the Spine Research Institute of San Diego and have served in the courtroom as expert witness in motor vehicle litagation procedures.
After living in Oregon for 17 years, my wife and I decided to return back home to Boise, Idaho. I enjoy studying, backpacking, kayaking, playing games, doing judo with my friends, and, most of all, spending time with my favorite scientist. I am a life member of the United States Judo Federation and teach judo at Boise State University as well as participate in the student run club.
I love being a chiropractor and am looking forward to helping as many people as I can. I look forward to meeting you!
